My " Gone with the solar wind " cover.
I particularly enjoyed working on the ship, which really didn't look lilke much when i get the reference. It came from some RPG game or something... really un-inspiring material. But the angle I chose allowed me to design the underbelly of the thing and I came up with a YT 1300 cockpit that suddenly made it more interesting and fun to draw. I also lit up the inside of the ship the way the modellers in the movies would do: actually putting lights in the ceiling that give a sense of perspective and add realism to the whole thing.
It usually goes un-noticed, too.
